SERVING OTHERS ... )
The Mission of CCN is to make Disciples by… Loving God, Growing Together, Serving Others The priorities and methods of our mission are mandated by the Word of God and form three faces of our mission: “Loving God, Growing Together, Serving Others”. These are not separate objectives but an integrated and comprehensive plan to make disciples according to the commands of Jesus. We believe that a disciple is a “trained follower of Jesus who teaches and ministries the Gospel to others.” One essential principle for being a disciple of Jesus is… MAKING A COMMITMENT TO BE INVOLVED IN A MINISTRY TO OTHERS IN OUR CHURCH, OR THE OUTSIDE WORLD SERVING OTHERS Serving Others means … Making a commitment to serve in at least one Ministry. Serving one another inside or outside the local church, or ministering to the needs of the lost, is where our full identification with Christ begins as we extend our hands, hearts, and the love of Jesus to others in need.
Service others: (1) Allows a believer to follow the Lord Jesus in His commands to serve one another. (2) Provides an opportunity for a believer to employ the gifts God has given him or her in service to others. (3) Offers the chance for a believer to show and witness the love of Christ to others in need.
Making a commitment to serve others will give you the opportunity to show the love of Jesus to others in need. We are commanded by Scripture to feed the hungry, care for the poor and sick, heal the broken-hearted. Ministry to others is one place in the life of faith and discipleship where you KNOW beyond any doubt that you in God’s righteous will, and that you are pleasing Him immensely. To feel “The Smile Of God” upon you as you minister to others, inside and outside the church, is a feeling you do not want to miss in your Christian journey. Also, the Bible tells us that God will show each of us what our particular spiritual gifts are going to be as we explore our capabilities during times of ministry and service to others in need. Ministry Teams is where it happens! This ministry of serving others includes those who are Christians and those who are potential Christians. We have a “ministry to the body” and a “mission to the world”. This ministry of serving is both in actions and words. We have a show and tell life.
MINISTRY IS… SERVING OTHERS: - Know you are following and obeying Jesus in His command to serve others! - Use the unique gifts God has given each of us - here or out in the world! - Experience the pleasure of the Lord in serving the real needs of people! ![]()
